Breaking the Mould: Designing a Home as Unique as You

Ever wondered why we are all individual people, with individual needs and personalities, but the majority of us live in the same plasterboard boxes? Us too.

Our project in North York Moors National Park shows how, even with the most stringent planning rules, you can create something unique and personalised to you.

In this case, we created a traditional barn structure, referencing the area’s strong architectural vernacular, with a contemporary twist, literally.

Inside the barn sits a separate, contemporary living space independently oriented to take full advantage of the prevailing views over the adjacent valley.
